Adding a priner?

Have an issue with sending a job to my printer on my network.
When trying to add a printer from a list of printers the server request that I enter a username and password but it fails because I do not have sufficient rights to add the printer. I currently, am the local administrator for the network and have the permissions to add the printer.
It appears that a setting on the server could be the problem but not sure which one, anyone have an idea?

As this is a permission problem, get with your sys admin to root out what this problem is.

As you have local admin rights, this printer needs to reside within your 'local' admin area. I suspect that it is not currently set to be administered within your local admin account.

Check and see if you have local admin rights on the computer itself.

The Printer Server may have its own usernames and passwords.

Might get better results if we know what kind of network and what kind of print server.
