Have a Meridian w/ option 11C and a PRI ckt. Is there any difference in adding a new prefix in LD 90 on a system with a PRI ckt. Trying to add a new cell phone prefix and after adding like I have on my other systems, still can't make that call. One thing different about this system is that it has a PRI ckt.

is this a nxx code you have added?
if yes - check RLI see if FCI assigned - might need to add to FCAS table also

and/or try dialing 10digit area code + nxx - some carriers will not accept 7digit CLID.

also stat T1 - if channels show VCE - try changing DSEL on route to 3VCE or VOD - if 3.1khz call VCE will not pass.

Not every system uses the same Route Numbers and Route List Index numbers. You cannot use another system as a guide to adding prefixes to this system.

The first thing you have to do is print some BARS in THIS system. Find another cell phone prefix that works:

LD 90
REQ PRT
FEAT NET
TRANS AC1
TYPE NXX
NXX <-----this is where you type a known working prefix

With that, you have the correct RLI to enter the new prefix.

PS: Prefix is not a Nortel BARS term and I would start using the terms used in Nortel-land, like NXX, NPA, SPN, etc.
