Hi all,

I encountered a problem when I tried to add a Seagate ST336605 (SCSI) to my Sun Ultra60 (already one SCSI disk with the system on it).
When I launched the format utility, the HDD is not recognized and I had to enter the complete specifications (retrieved from Seagate).
But when I entered the number of sectors (606 from the Seagate Web site), it told me that the value was out of range.

Has anyone ever encounter such a pb and has the solution ?
Thanks in advance
FX

Did you boot -r after you put the new disk in?

Steve

I've done a touch /reconfigure.

But now I have the solution.
I've divided the 606 sectors by 4 and enter it in the format utility and then the disk was recognized as 33GB.
