Adding a new (additional) hard drive.....

Is there anything "special" that I should be aware of regarding this.. Other than HCL compliant, etc etc etc...

There is nothing really special. Just the normal precautions before any hardware change, i.e. backup the system. If it is a RAID array you are adding a drive to, the installation is more complex. If you are just adding another drive that will not be a part of a volume set or an array of any type, all you have to do is physically install it (with correct jumpers ;-) then from the disk administrator, partition and format it. If you need specific procedures, let me know your exact configuration and disk space needs. David Moore
