Hello All.
First time posting in the Flash forum and new user of Flash MX 2004.
I wanted to add flash content to my website to incorporate all of my avi files and make them smaller so more people can watch them.

I have a few questions if I may.
I've been through the tutorials on Flash and I know how to add text, move it around, do a button, and make sound, but what I'm after is how to convert an avi to Flash.

A link to a tutorial would be great. Or maybe a keyword so I can look it up.
Does Flash just run the avi as is, or will I be able to compress it by converting it to Flash format.

They are all short animated movies about 1-3 minites in length.

What I'm envisioning is a menu with thumbnails that when clicked on, will run the films. I've seen this but don't know how to do it yet.

Thanks for any and all help.
