Adding a linked table to a page in Dreamweaver

My website (written and edited in Dreamweaver MX2004) contains many pages, all of which contain tables imported as in 'web page' format from Excel.
There is also a main menu which links to all of these pages, but it would be preferable if I could add a shortened version of the main menu to each of the linked pages, for ease of navigation. I have created this shortened version and named it 'submenu'. I obviously want to edit this submenu only once so that all the pages which contain it are automatically updated when I update the website. I can't fathom out how to do this. Help, please!
