Tried adding a valid license key to License Manager but get a red X. I know the code is valid but run into this problem.

Is there additional steps to adding the Client Activation code other than entering it into the field in License Manager?

Secondary, if I have a dongle from another server that i am no longer using can I use that dongle that has more licenses in place of one I currently use that has less?

Thanks in advance.

Hi, Currently the newer version of M3700 doesn't need the dongle license, which version are you on?
secondly, you cannot transfer the activation codes from another dongle

Well I’m running a very old system.

Version 4.1 HF3
Build 4.1.19.906

Was thinking I could use dongle that is not in use at the moment and repopulate the License fields after inserting it in place of current of dongle.

Would that create a conflict?

I went ahead and tried the key and populated the fields with the codes that matched the key and that seems to have worked with 3 minor issues.

I'm getting an ISL Error / No SIM File on the added workstation, all other terminals are good and I'm seeing the transactions I start on the added workstation on my original workstations so I believe my configurations are good, but Send Check / Payment SIMs cause an error on this particular terminal, my local (register) printer doesn't seem to be configured properly either as everything defaults to the backup printer and I'm using a workstation 4, but the system was originally configured with 2 workstations 5's leaving my screen a little misconfigured (buttons pushed off the screen, though you can touch most every button (creatively). I'm also wondering if the older workstation has anything to do with the ISL / SIM issue, perhaps there's a software patch needed? Not sure.

Did you add your isl file to the workstation 4 CAL etc file so gets pushed out to the workstation?
You can just copy the one from the workstation 5 file. You will need to program your printer .
