Hi Everybody,

I am a AS newbie! I was requested to edit an existing cube, specifically adding an additional level to a pre-existing dimension. Following my nose, I found the table used by the dimension, and added another column and populated it with the values I needed. Now I need to somehow refresh the connection to the data source so that it will pull in the new column and add it as a level for that dimension.

I've tried changing the data source used by the partition -- and that worked (but didn't update dimension with the new level). HELP! :)

Thanks in advance!

Casey.

You need to update the dimension. There is an option to update dimensions. Try an incremental update first, otherwise you will need to rebuild the dimension, then rebuild the cube.

The trouble with doing something right the first time is that noboby appreciates how difficult it was.
