If I add a fourth line to a Partner R4.0 system, I program the system from three lines to four lines. I have all MLS 12 sets and one MLS6. On the six button phone the three lines appeared on buttons one through three and the fourth button was for VM. That fourth button is now superceded by the fourth line? I must expand the six button phone to a twelve button phone........true. Is there any way to keep only three lines and the VM button and not have the four lines appear on the six button phone?

from ext 10 or 11
1. Feature 00
2. left intercom
3. left intercom
4. #301
5. extension number
6. line 4
7. 2 not assigned
8. feature 00

Or teach user to dial int 777 instead of using the voicemail button.

The only other reason and effect I can see as a problem is that if the first three lines are Busy, The MLS-6 would by default grab intercom dial tone when it goes off hook. To get the remaining line a "9" will grab the final line or give a busy if it is in use.
But if there is a call on hold, and requires picking up the call from that phone it would take a Transfer to the phone to get the call or a call pickup feature command.

Actually, if the line is not assigned to the phone, 9 won't get it. You would have to use 804 if it is idle,or 6804 if it is holding.
