Adding a DCH on a TMDI card

Hello all,
I have been given a task to add a PRI to our Nortel CS1000 using a TMDI card.
Having difficulties adding a new DCH under ld 17.
The steps I follow are as such:

It is not allowing me to add the DCH.

When trying to add trunk members says that I need to enable the DCH.
There is not a dch present for me to enable.
I can enable the loop and it obviously shows all channels unequipped.

Not sure what I am missing that is preventing me from adding a new dch

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

What loop is the PRI? Loop 1? You currently have no other PRI's correct? You probably need to enable ISDN in the NETData

Loop 1 is a PRI.
ISDN is enabled.

The current PRI (loop 1) is working properly.

Loop 2 is a TIE between back to a CS1000 and is working properly.

I have added loop 3 and need it to be a TIE from Nortel to Cisco.
Wont let me add a DCH

Only see DCH 11 and 12 being used.

I have tried to add a DCH as 50 and others just to confirm.
When I do it just goes back to the beginning of the prompt.

13 is a PTY, cant use that. 50 is out of range, 0 to 15 is what you can use. Try using 5

I did build as such:
Built loop 3 ......3 24 esf then at mode put in PRI,
I can enable TMDI 3 and all channels come up as unequipped.
Still researching to see what I am missing.

Your loop shows 24 trunks - did you do new 24 in LD 14?

I don't think it will let you add a DCH if it doesn't see an available PRI loop and right now your loop 3 shows 24 trunks, no room for a DCH. I could be way off, but I would start there.

Normally, you define the loop in CEQU - at the MODE prompt, type PRI and at the TMDI prompt, type “YES”. Then the DCH in ADAN, then routes and finally trunks.

You can use any number between 0 and 63 for a DCH number, provided the number is not in use by anything else...

The 24th trunk doeent matter. Its just showing channels not trunks

Good morning everyone,
I have torn down the entire process and started again.
I still end up in the same situation.
Everything is added except for the d-channel.
Whenever I go to LD 17 and try these steps:
REQ chg
TYPE adan
ADAN new dch 30

I just get placed right back to the command line
REQ

Thus preventing me from adding the B-channels in LD 14.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Did you answer YES at the TMDI Prompt When you built the DLOP?????

In LD 17 I had to do

REQ chg
TYPE cnf
ADAN new dch XX

Then I was allowed to add the D-channel.
Afterwards I was able to add the b-channels

I'm assuming you mean cfn, however, it should have let you do it either way.
