I currently have 2 DC's (DC1 and DC2) at our location. We just opened up a remote office and I have already created a VPN to connect the offices. I already have a server at the remote location, but it is not currently part of the domain. Below are the steps I plan on taking..

1. In AD Sites and Services, I created a new site.
2. I created a new subnet for the remote office.
3. Join the new server to the domain.
4. Run dcpromo to promote it to a DC.

Should I make this DC a GC as well?
Is there anything else that I should be aware of?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

Yes...make it a GC as well as a DNS server. Make sure all client at the new location use the new DC as their DNS server.
