Hi There

Don't know what exactly what keyword to search for, I would like to add a dash or a space between my value. Currently I am getting back a whole value 495000, which is a data type of int I would like to have something like 495 000 or 495-000

Please help

many thanks

Eldred,
Isn't it easier to format your output at the FrontEnd?
If you add this slashes at the BackEnd the network traffic will grow up depending of the records you get as recordset. Also you will get these fields as some kind of char type and if you need to do some additional calculation at the front end you must convert the formated fields back to numeric type.

You'll have to tweak Denis' scheme if all your values aren't exactly six digits.
