Adding a chart to Oracle Reports 6i

I am having trouble adding a 'readable' chart to my report. When I am in report builder and I use the chart wizard, all I get is an unreadable 'blob'. It looks like ink was spilled on my report. How do I make the chart larger and/or readable?
