Adding a B179 in a CS1000e RLS 6.0

I am trying to configure an Avaya B179 on a CS1000e RLS 6. I have not configured a SIP endpoint before, as this is our first SIP phone. Any help is appreciated. Please let me know what details I can provide so you can help me.

Do you have a signal server configured for SIP Line?

Discovered that we have SIP trunks but do not have SIP lines. Looks like I will be sending this phone back to the vendor. Thanks for your help!
