We have had this Magix for 8 years and I have never needed to add a board to it. If this question has been answered before I apologize.

We have the following in the system currently:

Processor W/CKE5 Magix Release 2.0
SlotNumber 1: 024 TDL
SlotNumber 2: 024 TDL
SlotNumber 3: 412 LS-TDL
SlotNumber 4: 800 GL-ID
SlotNumber 5: 016 TRR
SlotNumber 6: Merlin Msg 2.5

What should I expect when I plug this new 412 in slot 7 or should I be doing something else?

The module will come up with extensions in the 71xx range if the system was originally defaulted using set-up space. If that is the case, you just need to renumber the extensions to whatever you want them to be.

Thank you, merlinman, a very good reminder.

It sounds like I should be able to do this during normal business hours. Am I correct in assuming the system would only be down for a few minutes?

The system will be down about 30 to 45 seconds - the voicemail will need several minutes to fully reboot.

I have installed the board and everything came back up the way it should.

When I look at the board in system inventory on WINSPM the digital ports did not get assigned to the 72xx range but were assigned 188-199. The analog ports followed a similar pattern giving me 813-816.

Now I need to find the pairs to use out of my pre-wired connector and punch them down. So far, things are good.
