I am trying to add the 007 MLM to the Legend.

I dont know what to do after installing the card and before setting up Groups ect.,

I dont even know if the card is recognized.

I have tried to read the manual but I am still quite the newbie.

I just need to be pointed.

I have done a system renumbering and a system restart.

Inventory still shows that card as having extensions.

I am at a client and I dont want the voicemail to start answering in the morning.

Looking at the inventory via SPM I see the following:

Slot: 05
Board: 012
Hardware Vintage: 03
Software Vintage: 52
Aplication Vintage

The voicemail card does have extensions, and depending upon how many ports they have licensed, you assign those extensions to voicemail group.

Additional Update:

I threw caution to the wind and clicked each of the Restore/Reset/Upgrade for Slot 5 (the MLM) and now I get status with no errors or alarms. I also did another restart.

With no errors I wonder if this mean I am rdy to program groups?

Moving forward ot not?

I am trying to work through Brian Cox's Quick Reference.

When I try step 2 Assigning the calling group as Integrated VMI i get a Windows error beep when I click Enter.

Yes the slot wsa previously occupied. Did a Board renumber. ( I think I already did that ). When I go into group type for calling group it is set to AutoLogout. When I select Integ VMI I get the "error beep" from WinSPM

Also, after board renumber, Slot 5 ( containin 007 MLM ) maintains previous extension numbers. What should the "Number" be after renumbering.

The extension numbers aren't your problem. What ever they are are fine. Typically when you try to assign integratedVMI to a calling group and it won't let you, it means you already have 1. Do a print of all your calling groups and see if you can find the 1 that is.

Thanks for the help. I will try to work through the groups thing. It doesnt really seem to function quite as documented.

How much "OTHER" programming do you have in this system.

If there's not much, I would do a SYSTEM ERASE and start all over.

If there's a lot, then I recommend at least doing a PRINT of the calling groups.

That should help you see what you need to do.
