I have a Proliant 1600 that I've added a second processor to. The box itself reads a second processor but Windows 2003 does not. I know in the past I was able to add a secondone going through Device manager to Windows 2000 but Windows 2003 you only have "Standard PC" choice available in Device Manager. From what I read it seems that you need to reinstall the OS, which is hard to accept!
I figured that if anyone knew it would have to be from these forums: Does anyone know of a short cut method of having Windows 2003 recognize the second processor rather than rebuilding the box?
Thanks....
