Hi,

I need to create 2 child domains. Our main domain is a W2K domain. Would like the child domains to have 2003 DC's. Do I need to do ADprep and forest prep in the root domain?

Thanks!
Linny

Yes, you will need to run adprep /forestprep on the schema master in the root domain. You will not need to run adprep /domainpre in the root domain UNLESS you are planning on having 2003 DCs in that domain.
