Hi,

Im trying to develop an outlook addin to work with
different types of customize messages and need to use a
rich text control or something similar for the user
to "build" a message inside outlook interface (using rules
and options I provide as part of my addin menu)

Is there a rich text control or something I could use
inside outlook to let the user edit his message while
working with my addin ?

Any clue on how to do this ?

Thank you.

Yes. When editing your userform in the VB editor, right-click on the Controls Toolbox, and choose "Additional Controls" from the dropdown. Then select "Microsoft Rich Textbox Control" from the (long) list of available controls. That will put an icon for the control in your toolbox, which you can now use. It's not the easiest control to use - you'll have to do some reading on how to achieve the effects you're after. You can start here:

Actually I tried the VB Rich Text Control but it doesn't allow me to work with background color and oher features I need, and thats why I want to know if inside microsoft oulook I can use another control or maybe be to integrate my addin with outlook in such a way that I can use its capabilities to meet my edition requirements.

Thank you.
