Added more incoming lines, doesn't work correctly? 1

We originally had 5 incoming lines into our building, 4 more were added. 3 lines were added to pool A and the 4th was placed on pool B. If you dial the new number for the building it comes up on the approiate new line number 6-8. If you dial in on line 9 which is the only line on pool B it comes in on the intercomm button. WHY??? But when you try to dial out on that specific new line 6-9 it automatically puts you on line 1. On lines 1-5 you can dial out on whatever line you choose. But I don't understand what the defference is for the new lines. If it matters or not we are connected to a Centrex system from the telephone company. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also I forgot to mention when you do a button inquiry lines 1-5 will say L001, L002, L003, L004, L025 beside the phone number but the new lines 6-9 just show the telephone number.

Your line 9 is actually line 049 most likely, depending on where it was punched down. Sounds like your line pools are not set up exactly right. With the button inquiry, the lines have been named with the phone number differently than the first lines.
