added field to view but not available to add to report 1

I have a report created from a view. I added a field to the view. When I go back to my report to add this field, it is not listed as a field under that view. If I create a new report using this view, the field is available. Is this normal behavior and if so, any suggestions on working around without recreating the report? I've looked at aliases but don't know if there is any drawback to using an alias instead of the actual view.
 
Hi! Try going to database at the top of the screen while the report is open, then select verify database. once database is up to date see if the field is available.
