add user box - complete AD visibility

I have installed WSS 3.0 and I have noticed that when users click "add user" and click the 'look up icon' they are able to view my intire Active Directory. Can I remove the add user feature from WSS 3.0 or does some kind of segregation need to occur in AD. The conflict is that i have many customers and i dont want them to see eachother. Anything relevent would be appreciated!!
