When attempting to add my SQL server to active directory I get:

SQL Server could not add server 'SQL01' to Active Directory

Error 14303: sp_ActiveDirectory_SCP failed to access registry key

(Done from Server Properties in Enterprise Manager)

Any Ideas?

There is a service for SQL and AD integration, it is not usually started and may not even be installed on your system. Check your servies and ensure that MSSQLServerADHelper service is started.

Thanks,

I tried starting the service myself manually - but fails and states in the event log:

"'0' is an invalid number of start up parameters. This service takes two start up parameters."

The Startup parameters box in the service control panel is empty.

Thanks for your help.
