I have a questions to what I think should be very simple. I don't use project much, so fogive my ignorance. I have lets say five groups of 5 taks. I want to add Titles or headings to each group of tasks. Every time I do that it add a new task and tries to give it a duration. How do I just a title or heading to each group of tasks.
Thanks

I think you are trying to create what Project calls a "Summary Task"

Assume you have this layout.

T1
T2
T3
T4
T5
T6

And let's assume you want to have a title for tasks T4, T5 and T6.

Make certain you are displaying the Formatting toolbar.

Click on T4
Press the Insert key
Give the new task a name: "T4T5T6 Summary"
Click on T4.
Press the Ctrl key and hold it down
Click on T5.
Click on T6.
Release the Ctrl key
On the formatting toolbar click on the right pointing arrow to indent T4, T5 and T6.

Now you have two choices: either get your boss to send you on a Project course (because this is fairly elementary stuff) or buy a Project text book and work through the chapters and examples.
