I have a video that I created then imported into flash mx. How can I have the user click on the video window and then the video starts? How can I add text to the video at the same time? Can I play one video and then another video right after?

Any suggestions or detailed how tos, would be great!

A lot of "depends" in your question...
This for web use or to be used locally?
You could be loading and playing any number of videos, if they were all embedded in their own individual external .swf, and that you dynamically loaded them.
You could also easily add any number of textfields, on layers above the embedded video itself in each external movie.
As for playing it you could use an invisible button, or define a handler on the video movie clip itself, or you could use a video component (as some intructors may suggest!) or a simple video player as this one...

Thank you for your reply. How can I shrink the dimension of the avi file? it is too large in size when playing... it takes up the whole screen..

When embedding the video, you can control the scale or set a percentage.

Lets say for example the video is displayed at 1024 X 768 how can I display it at lets say 580 X 580 without loosing quality

A video at 1024 * 768 ? Never seen such a large sized captured video!
In the Import Video Settings window, there's a Scale slider that will allow you to re-scale the video when you import it. The new size will be reflected in the Output properties to the lower right of this slider. You can also set a percentage in the percentage box, just right of the slider.
