Dear Sir or Madam,.

I have a report group by Division and Department: example

Division = 6A
Department = Accounting
Member= John Doe, Margaret Doe, etc

Division = 6A
Department = Marketing
Member= Pete Doe, Sarah Doe, etc

I like to add a security on the report if John Doe only have access to Division 6A Accounting information, he will not be able to view or drop down the other Division or departments. What would be the best way to accomplish this taks..? Please advice.

Regards,

Jim

The best method is to use unique logins and have security built into the database.

If that isn't possible, then you might use a Business View, which is dependent upon your software version, which should be included with any post regarding and software product.

Hi,
You can also use the
CurrentCeUserName function to construct a record selection formula that changes based on that logged-in name.

( Pre-supposes that your CE users need to log in to runthe report)
