Please point me in the right direction ....

I am trying to add a SEARCH function for our intranet site. I am NOT trying to register on search engines, just trying to help employees find local info. How would I start to set this up ?

If this is not the correct forum, please advise.

Thank You in advance....

Bobby

Hi mate,

You would need a server-side language to do this properly.

What language you use depends on what your server supports and your skill level.

When you decide what language you want to use, you can post any problems you come across in the appropriate forum.

However, I would advise against simply asking how to create a search engine from scratch, nobody will be able to explain that.

If you want to go for a pre-made script and can use Perl, check out the following link:

Hope this helps Wullie
