Add Remove Programs Won't Start

I'm running XP Pro with sp-1 and all critical updates. I'm always installing and uninstalling a lot of different software. Recently when I tried to use add remove programs, I get a Parser Message: Value Creation Failed " Line 472. I'm not sure where to look to fix the problem. Event logs don't show anything helpful, and I don't see any services stopped anywhere. I do have a problem with one of four of my dynamic disks; and it also happens to be my C drive, but add remove programs had always worked with this problem present. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
