On my Windows 2000 Server, even tho I am logged in as Administrator, I get the message "Add/Remove Programs has been restricted." when I double click on the Add/Remove Programs icon in the control panel.

How do I fix this?

Thanks for the help!

Start...Run..."mmc".
Add/Remove Snap-in.
Select "Group Policy" on the local computer.
"User Configuration", "Administrative Templates", "Control Panel", "Add/Remove Programs".

That's where the setting gets configured. If the server is the member of a 2K domain, check the Group Policy on the domain or any container objects you're in. If that doesn't help, try the old NT4 poledit program.

hope this helps,
