add/remove program obsolete entries

i have some entries in the add/ remove section of control panel that are obsolete and i cannot remove normally. how do i remove these entries. thanks

Most Registry Cleaners have an inbuilt option for this procedure.

Even Add or Remove will often (not always) offer to remove these programs if you click on the already uninstalled program and select remove.
