Add record cmd button error

I used the Access wizard to place on a form a command button for adding records. However, when I click on the "Add New Record" command button I receive the following error:

"Object doesn't support this property or method."

Is this because I've set the form to not allow edits?

Setting a form to not allow edits should not affect a comman button which is adding a record. Do you mean the 'Allow Additions' property is set to false?

Are you sure the recordset for the form is updateable? If it is not, you will not be able to add new records.

The "Allow Additions" was set to true.

I did get it fixed by adding another command button to do the same thing, and now it works fine.

Go figure!
