I have am having a problem with my printers. they do not show up and i when I click to add a new printer nothing happens. I have done a lot of research and apparently a lot of people have had a similar problem only none of their fixes will fix mine. as and added difficult to my situation, when I go to look at my services I get and error it is a yellow triangle with and ! in it and no words beside it only and ok button under it. i think it is a result of a recent trojan I have been working on removing from my computer I think I got it off but this appears to be residual damage and I am not sure how to fix it please help.

Try the free version of "Ewido" now called "AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5"

Windows Defender

What OS are you running & what's the name of the Trojan? In many cases, you can go to your AV company's web site & get detailed instructions on fixes.

Besides the free version of AVG linney mentioned, you can also go to and download not only that Anti-Spyware app, but also their free Anti-Virus as well as their free Anti-Rootkit. Windows Defender is an excellent program. Here are some other free apps to consider:

Spybot Search & Destroy

Lavasoft Ad-Aware

I run all of them as I believe there is no such thing as too much protection. I also run a program called SpywareBlaster but it's more of a preventative measure. You can read about it and download the app if you'd like @ The most important part of protection is to make sure you keep your programs updated & run them on a regular basis. And also be on the cautious side when downloading apps (other than those from trusted sites) or opening attachments in E-mail.
Hope these suggestions help!
