I have a client who wants to upgrade to a PRI t1.
Cheaper Dial Tone and add DID's

I wonder if I will have issues when I upgrade?
....Like: suddenly the VM needs upgrade, and I missed it, didn't quote it. I like to get it right....not go back asking for $$

Currently, Fiber MICS, T1R1, 30nCG13NAT.
2-0x16, 1-12x0, NAM: Copper 2.2. (?!?!?!)

I thought T1R1 would handle a T1, but I would need 4.0 (4.1?) or better for PRI. True?
THEN would that force an upgrade of the VM NAM?

I am worrying about MICS s/w versus NAM s/w.
Does that make sense? What level needs what level?

Lastly, the MICS has a 6 port Fiber, NON-Combo.
In the past I have just gone Fiber Combo, is the Services Card a good product, used with my regular Fiber card?

Need:
T1 Card, Key enable, Services card (or Combo),
West LA, help?

Add?: Software, Upgrade Nam

R1T1 will handle a T1, but PRI requires R4.0 or higher (recommend at least R6.1 MR). The services card would need to be added and it will work with either T1 or PRI. The NAM would have to be sent out for upgrade to R4.1.

XCLNT, Thanks Brian.

Can the VM be field upgraded? Versus sent out.
New Hard Drive? or what is involved?

curlycord?

Going from R2.2 to R4.1 involves installing a new hard drive and more RAM. I'd really recommend sending it out for upgrade.

I like the CP, too, but it looks like you should have 3 available fiber ports. A refurb NAM 4.1 might suit you.

You will also need a PRI Enabler Code.
But don't turn it up until after the MICS is upgraded and the system is working, then activate the PRI Code.

You Guys are the BEST.
Upgraded 4.1 NAM is probably the ticket.

Hawks, I'ld heard various things about the the PRI code,
thanks for detailing that for me, I will do as suggested.
