I have a 2 node active passive SQL cluster. We need to rebuild the C drive on one of the nodes. We plan to evict the node from the cluster. Install the OS and patches. My question is related to installing SQL on the node and add it back to the cluster. Is the process like the inital SQL installation and install from the active node or do I run setup from the node that I want to add? When I install the SP and will that shutdown SQL or will it allow SQL to continue to run during the process?
