add mirror option unavailable 1

i recently replaced a mirrored drive that had failed. i want to re-establish the mirror between my old drive that is still working and my new drive. i formatted the new drive using ntfs and i turned it into a dynamic drive. i restarted my server but the add mirror option is still unavailable from disk management - it is greyed out. both drives are the exact same size scsi drives. any suggestions?

You should have formatted the new drive. In order to create the mirror, you need unallocated space.

Delete the new drive in disk administrator and then setup the OS mirror.
