Add IE toolbar button

Does anyone know how can I add a button in the IE toolbar, so that I can launch an application from there, (just like DAP, ICQ and many programs which intergrate into IE toolbar). Thank you in advance for your advise.

I have read some things in their webpage about spyware and I wouldn't like to use this program. I was given a link

but I don't understand what Guidgen.exe is, where I can get it, and how can I use it.
