We're trying to get ADD working in our office, and am having some issues. Our network engineer just enabled multi-cast, however, I still cannot get it to work on my system. We tried installing it on a new system (XP SP2) and received the following error message:

Cannot get the version of Symposium Agent Desktop Displays on Application server IP '172.17.1.129'. (USDLReader:Loading of the WSDL file failed HRESULT=0x80040154: Class not registered
-Client:An unanticipated error occured during the processing of this request. HRESULT=0x80040154: Class not registered). Check your network connection and contact your administrator.

Anyone see this before and/or have any ideas.

I've added a picture of the error message:

Did the ADD clients get the SOAP install? If not, they may need a share access to that directory on the SWC server. Sounds like something isn't installed on the PC correctly... not that the ADD client isn't there, but I know it also needs the soap client.

The other thing to look out for is that ADD uses the current setting of the IE browser on the workstation. If you use a proxy (expecially out on a DMZ or with firewalling), you may have a problem getting to the SWC server for the multicast feed.

SOAP is installed. We did resolve the issues with the XP firewall. However, we still get this error on some systems.
