Add Document function in 9.5 via Internet explorer

I am in the process of developing a business process for updating documents in 9.5. I was told that our department's normal.dot won't be respected in the Add, Edit, Open document functions in 9.5 via web browser. In all my testing, our normal.dot is being respected by 9.5 in most cases, with the exception of the Add Document feature. I can live with this, for it is the Edit function I find to be useful. With that said, I would hate to train our folks to use the Edit function when it really does not respect our normal.dot Is anyone using a custom normal.dot with 9.5 via we browser? Please shsre your experience.
