Hi All,

We have a SIP trunk that connects other site, we use a prefix 529 + extension to reach them. what we have trying to do is when the users dial the extension that begins with 4XXX, the 529 are added at the begining and goes out for that same sip trunk.

we are done with the other side of the company which has nortel, not sure what are the steps to perform this task on Mitel.

would anyone be so kind to provide me a hint?

thanks!

It is a MXe-III. below more info.

thanks!

Do you know what digits the Nortel system is receiving? I know you are dialing 7 digits but that does not mean the Nortel is receiving 7 digits.

Regardless, as long as the 4xxx numbers do not conflict on the Mitel system all you need to do is create system speedcalls for 4xxx then dial 5294xxx

Thanks for the help, I have added a speed call and it works. the problem is that I have to add from 4000 - 4999. is there a way to do it as a rule instead of adding one by one?

regards!

If you answer my previous question there might be a simpler way.

Otherwise, The default maximum Speedcalls is 1000 so you probably wont have enough unless this is all you have for sppedcalls

You can import a spreadsheet - I've provided - attached

I would use ARS to perform the routing.
Find out what ARS digits dialed for 529 and what route/digit mod it relates to.
You should be able to build a new route and digits dialed based on this so the 4XX takes the same route and change the digit mod for accordingly for it.

I'm not very good at explaining it but if your can get the info we can guide further.

Although if you are not familiar with it just go with kwbMitel's method.
I just hope you don't need to delete the speedcalls, absolute PITA as you need to do it one by one.

I think that's pretty straighforward, you have an ARS digits dialled for "4" +3, with a new dedicated Digit modification which adds in 529, and the Route points at the same SIP trunk as the route for "529 4" +3

Could Everyone please NOT assume that the digits 529 are dialled towards the Nortel?

At this point we have NO IDEA what digits are sent to the Nortel.

Until we do, let's stay away from ARS solutions.

I am just going by what was requested. I understand the Nortel may be receiving digits etc... but it is working now so I believe ARS can be used to do what he wants.

More info is required I agree. Just because 529 4xxx is dialed it doesn't mean that is what is sent.
For a start maybe try [tt]DGT TRACE 5294000[/tt] from the maintenance commands

@Sarond, what we have here is a user asking for help with his solution to the problem rather than asking for the actual solution.

If you want to go down those blind alleys, feel free. But you could at least help me to determine the digits being sent to the Nortel.

I've asked directly twice now and indirectly twice. OP does not seem willing to even help himself at this point.

@kwb

Yes I agree more info is needed. I'm not sure if the OP knows what is being sent to the Nortel.
Hopefully the DGT Trace will allow more guidance on the route used and go from there.

Hi All

Just did what Sarond proposed and it's working.
1.- Added record for 4 + 3digits in ARS Digit dialed
2.- Added a record in ARS Digit Modification Plans to change when 4 is pressed to 5294
3.- point ARS digit dialed to ARS Route with my SIP trunk.

So far It is working as expected.

thank you all!
