Hello,

I have about 600 DID numbers and the users always dial 10 digits to call each other. How can I force the call 91319####### to strip out 7 insert a 1 and make a 5 digit call? I think I am stuck on route pattern where it looks at Grp. No. This is a trunk group to PSTN? How can I make it an internal 5 digit call? ???

Use the ars digit conversion table

Code:
change ars digit-conversion 1 Page 1 of 2
                       ARS DIGIT CONVERSION TABLE
                                 Location: all Percent Full: 0

Hello

There is a simple way to do this, not through the ars digit convertion. I perform this through another pbx command to one of our biggest customer. Please stay on hold, get back and provide the Right command and steps for this. The user will only dial like a 6 digit command.

Hello

Back again, This what I did>

1st go to your Display Feature, please verify if you have something program under Abbreviated Dial List 3 ___. If yes, this is what your user will dial 1st. This is an example: *99 or #99, this is a 2 digit Feature or it can be a 3 digit Feature always using the * or the #.

Now for example your using *99, the next step is to go the next command: add abbreviating enhance 100, once you get to this page, you have a 5 command entry, change the 5 to 100 and you will have inmediate a 100 entry's. this would look something like this:

100:913207778585
101:913407778585
102:916207778585
103:
to
199:916807778585

Under this programming, you have 100 entry's , to have another 100 entry's the next add command will be: add abbreviated enhance 200, repeat the same programming as in the 1st abbreviating list command I instructed you. Under this list, you will have another 100 list, but starting with 200. It wil look like this:

200:916667778585
201:912207778585
202:917207778585
203:
to
299:914807778585

This is the way until you reach your 600 entrys you need, Now the only 6 digits that the user will dial will be *99200, this would dial the number program under the abbreviating enhance 200:916667778585.

All the stations need to program on the last page: List 2 enhance, in order they can use the abbreviating enhance list.

Hope this works, I it will, I have done it before.

first soloution is much simpler , no need to add hundreds of abb dial numbers

redphone won the STAR! Thank you. Got it done in less than an hour.

Avaya033 - thank you for your post as I will test this out...

Thank you all for the help!

For the above example, would you not use 91319 for the matching pattern?
