hi every body
i have connected to SQL sever database and created form and add cursor form this connected database to form data-environments and i have Dealing with it fine as fox pro tables.
now how can i create report form this data or how can i add this data source( cursor ) to report data environments or how can i add this cursor to data session windows ?

Reports - just like forms, have a data environment, so you can use the same thing.

Not sure what you mean with data session windows. There is the IDE window captioned "Data Session". It will also display that workarea, if you mean that, where is the problem you have with it?

Bye, Olaf.

When you say a "cursor", do you mean a cursor that is returned from a SQLEXEC() function? If so, you can't add it to a data environment, neither for a form or a report. This is one of the disadvantages of using this kind of cursor.

Or do you mean a CursorAdapter object? If so, it can be added to the data environment using the same steps as for a physical table.

In both cases, the cursor should be visible in the Data Session window. If it is not, make sure that the correct session is selected in the "Current session" combo at the top of the window.

You might also like to consider using remote views in place of SQLEXEC(). These have their pros and cons, but they do have the advantage that you can place them in a data environment.
