I'm designing an Access report in which my users have asked for a Comments Section of blank lines in which they can leave handwritten notes. How do I add several blank lines in an expeditious manner? I know how to draw one line, but I have a lot of trouble keeping it straight. Once I get it straight, I thought it might be easiest to just copy and paste the line and move it to its proper location. However, moving it and keeping the spacing just right is proving to take a lot of time. Is there a more efficient way to accomplish this task?

Where do they want the comments section? Do they need just some lines in the report footer section? Do they always want a specific number of lines?

I generally use the rectangle control rather than the line control since it creates straight lines. You should be able to copy and paste a new rectangle, move it to create the best spacing and then repeat the paste as many times as needed. You can select all of the rectangles after the fact and use the format menu to make the spacing even.

I think this will work well, but I have one additional question. How do I eliminate the sides of the rectangle so I will just have the top and bottom serving as the lines. I know how to do that in Excel by clicking on the sides under Format Cells>Border. Is there a similar feature in Access?

That's exactly what I meant by collapsing the boxes down. Thanks again for the help. My report is almost completed thanks to the tips you have given me.
