Hi Everyone.
I have a HP DL360 running ESX 4 with 4 physical nics, I have VSwitch0 setup running two xp machines and a management network and all is working well connected to one of my physical Cisco 2960 switches.
I have now added Vswitch1 on a second physical nic connected to the same LAN vai a different switch but the machine on there VA-ntop does not pick up a DHCP address. (it does if I move it over to VSwitch0)
If I go to configuration, networking and click on the dialogue box it opens showing all the details of the Cisco 3750 switch it is connected to so it would appear all is well there.
Both these physical switches are on the same LAN
The reason I want this setup is to mirror my internet port to the ntop port on the 3750 so ntop can look at the traffic.
Can any one please think why this will not pick up a DHCP address?
Many thanks
Mick
