Add a record as needed

I have a table with populated with an item number (once). I need to update on of the fields with a building number. Occasionally, there may be more than one building number and I don't know how to insert a new record so it will show both numbers. Below is an example:

Item Bld#
11011 083
12123 083
12123 125
12123 349
13524 083

As these are inventory buildings, they change each time we update this file. Thanks.

have you thought about normalizing your table?

then you can have a crosstab query to pull back something like you want...
