Within NT 4 can you copy a users account when you add a new user. I would use this method if I saw an account that had permissions that I thought could be used by another user. This would therefore save me time.

Cheers,

Tomas

In 2000 you can copy and paste users. Don't have an NT4 box here to see if its the same, but I don't suppose you can do much harm by trying.

Whether the permissions are also duplicated you'll have to see.

When you copy a user account, all that is copied is the user's settings within the User Manager. Share and folder permissions, etc. are not copied. Every new user, even copied ones start with a fresh registry hive.
