Add a new HDD to RAID 5

Hello,
I have a Raid 5 configuration ( 3 hdd 36 GB ) and I want to add a new 36 hdd GB to this configuration. My server is HP Ml 350 with HP SmartArray 641 ( Windows 2003, 2 partitions). I know that this job, can be done from Windows with a utility from HP. But, my question is, how this new HDD will be "see" by operating system? like a new partition?
