Add a new group between two groups 2

Hi, there,

Is there any way to add a new group between two existing groups? What I got was that the new group added is always below other groups.

You can "drag" the group you want to move (you should see a funny little hand cursor when you've got hold of it) to wherever you want it in your Group hierarchy.

If you add a group to a report, it will alwasy create it at the lowest level. If you have several groupings on your report, you can change the order of those groups by using the technique that vidru posted.

I am not sure what you mean by "It works between groups, but not within a group, right?"

To move sections, e.g., to make group header_b become group header_a, you can go to the section expert, highlight one of the group headers sections and use the direction key to toggle it into the position you want.

To move an entire group, after inserting the group, you can also go to report->change group expert->highlight the group you want to move and again use the direction key to reposition it.

You can drag sections within groups to reposition them, or you can drag groups themselves.

If it isn't working for you, then it may be CR version dependent, something that you should always post when requesting technical assistance.

Thank you very much for all respones so far. Further question is this: how to insert a group into another groups' sections? By the way, I use CR 8.5.
