I have a class with many fields in it. I renamed all of the fields using the 'edit properties' for each field. It's a derived table. Now I need to add a new field and can't see a way to add that field to the class. I don't want to drag the whole class over again because I'll need to rename all of my fields one at a time. Should I have named the fields in my derived table or is there a way to drag over just one new field into the class.

Thanks.

There are two ways that you can do this:

1. Find just the new field in the derived table in the diagram on the right-hand side of the screen and drag that into the class. The trick with this is that if you have to scroll to find the field, you'll need to then click outside of the derived table to turn off the scroll bar, then drag the field.

2. In the class, right-click and select Object to create a new object. Give it a name and a data type then click on the ">>" button to the right of the "Select" box. In the bottom left, find your derived table and open it. Scroll down to find the field that you need and double-click on it to add it to the top of the screen. Click on "OK" to save it.
