Hello,

I was wondering if it is possible to add a memo-field to all of my tables (about 60) in my database.

The field will be the same for all tables, but I'd love to automate this instead of modifying all tables by hand.

Regards,

Peter

Peter,

First off, yes. Secondly, and maybe more importantly...why do you have 60 tables? Are all of your tables the same? If so, tsk tsk.

In any case, you can add fields a few ways. Check out the CreateField method in the help file. That'll show you how to go about it in VBA.

Jeremy,

Thx for your fast reply !!

I don't have 60 tables in one database :)

I'm working on several databases, and wanted to add a new field to all of the tables in one go. (per database)

Sorry if I scared you with my huge number of tables...

About the CreateField, many thanks; I have a look at the help file and let you know when the job is done.
