Now I'm having fun...
I have a report with two tables. They both use the same data source, a stored procedure. They test fine.

I added a chart below the tables. It uses the same data source. The chart looked fine, but the data from my tables disappeared. The cells and formatting were still there.

When I removed the chart, the table data came back. I thought I'd proved that you could use a data source more than once with the two tables, but maybe a table AND a chart aren't allowed? I was wondering what I'd lie awake about tonight...
I would appreciate any suggestions.

not sure why it is happening but I can tell you that you can have as many data regions on a report that refer to the same data set as you like. there is, AFAIK no restriction on the number or type of data regions that use the same data set

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

Please read FAQ222-2244 before you ask a question

Well, I removed the chart, closed SSRS & reopened, re-created the chart, and everything works ok.
